Superior Child Care is...
Located at Level 1 (Locker) Floor of the Cliff Lodge in Snowbird.
To thrive, children need lots of one-on-one attention, being held, talked to and rocked. That means 2 to 3 children (up to 24 months) per caregiver is our policy and followed. For children ages 2 years old and up, we strive for a ratio for 6-8 children per teacher.
We offer, TOP Star rated, morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack. The meals are a variety of options, kid approved and tasty. We know the importance of feeding our children healthy and nutritious food, which is why we strive to purchase organic and GMO free products whenever possible.

With a seamless blend of fun, education, and reliable care offered 7 days a week, our seasonal and year-round programs ensure children are inspired and supported as their families enjoy everything Snowbird has to offer.

Flexible Scheduling at Our Childcare Center
Our reservation system currently allows you to select full-day, mid-day, or any 4 hours of care. If you’d like a mix of options, the easiest approach is to reserve full-day childcare for all the days you might need, because you’ll only pay for the actual time your child is in care at the end of your stay. We know plans can change—especially on vacation—so our childcare program is designed to give families maximum flexibility and peace of mind.
Flexible Reservations
If you book a half-day but realize you need a full day, you can easily extend your reservation at any time. Our pay-as-you-go system means you’ll only be billed for the hours actually used. This gives you freedom to plan your vacation without worrying about rigid schedules.
Let’s be honest—your little one is our favorite “collateral.” They’ll have so much fun, and you’ll love the flexibility just as much as we do!
Single-Day Options

Full-Day Care: Up to 8 hours in a day. We are open 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Mid-Day Care: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., includes lunch and an afternoon snack.

Any 4 Hours: Choose any 4 hours during a singular day that work best for you.
Prepaid Packages
We offer two different types of prepaid options:

Purchase in bundles and choose either full-day or mid-day care for each reservation.

Two mid-day reservations are equal to one full-day credit.

Great for families who want flexibility between full-day and mid-day care.

Prepaid Flex Package (New!)
- Purchase 10, 20, or 30 flexible days, each valid for any 4 hours of care per day
All Prepaid Packages are valid for 1 year from purchase. No extensions, so plan ahead!
Siblings can share any prepaid package, making these options ideal for families with multiple children.
These rates are for the summer of 2025 from April 21 - September 30. Superior childcare is open year-round with over 2,500 square feet of play area. We can guarantee reservations if made with a 48-hour advance notice. Our $30 deposit is nonrefundable but can be moved to a different day if travel plans change.

Choose the window that works best for you. Time starts when you check your child in. Ideal for a half-day ski session, spa break, or just a quiet breather.
These rates are for the Winter Ski Season of 2025-26 from December 1 - April 20. Unlike other ski resort childcare facilities, Superior Childcare has a large space of 2500 square feet. We can guarantee reservations if made with a 48-hour advance notice - although we definitely recommend making much earlier reservations. Our $30 deposit is nonrefundable but can be moved to a different day if travel plans change. We are not affiliated with Snowbird and do not have access to their Mountain School reservations. Please contact them directly to book all ski lessons.
Avalanche Mitigation
On days when avalanche mitigation is scheduled, the road to Alta Children's Center may temporarily close and typically reopens around 8:30 a.m. This may delay our opening slightly.
As soon as the road is clear and our staff has arrived safely, we’ll send a message from our center phone to confirm that we’re ready to welcome your children. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prioritize everyone’s safety!

We are proud to announce our staff has all been educated in many aspects of child care, including receiving a TOP Star endorsement by the Utah Department of Health. Being a TOP Star endorsed center means we have all completed several hours of training to improve children's nutrition, physical activity, and encouraging breastfeeding.
ABOUT US
Located on-site at the CLIFF Lodge and Spa, you can drop off your child at a safe and fun play land. Superior Child Care Center is a full-service childcare facility that caters to children from 2 months old to 12 years old. We provide 3 delicious meals that are made fresh onsite, go outside for outdoor play, and make crafts while we play all day long. A separate Baby land area with quiet nap room, safe play equipment and calm environment in ensured. The toddlers have a playland with Dinosaurs, princesses and ponies, Paw Patrol, dress up clothes, magnets, play dough and so much more. A 3rd area is set up for games, Lego’s, create arts & crafts and a fun bounce house!

Where are you Located?
We are located on the level 1 (LOCKER) floor of the Cliff Lodge in Snowbird, Utah.
Once you are on the locker level turn LEFT from the Elevators, down the hall towards the public Safety Exit. We are located about 200 feet down the hall. There is a bookshelf, bench, and paw patrol rug one cannot miss!
The Cliff Lodge valet charges $20 for families bringing children into our child care facility.
MEET THE TEAM
McKinley is 23 years old and a business student. McKinley loves child development and has worked at Superior since 2021 and has been babysitting for 6 years. She likes to travel and dance.
This is my 5th season at Superior. I am finishing my Bachelor's Degree at the University of Utah. I love the mountains and being able to share the winter season with the kids. It's always a fun time!
I am Kayelynn, a mother of four beautiful children; three grown and a new baby. I have over 24 years of nursing experience and 20+ years experience in caregiving. I am fun and energetic and have a special bond when it comes to little ones.
I have worked in childcare for over 5 years and am a lover of the outdoors from skiing and camping in the mountains to relaxing on the beach. Momma to an amazing boy who also loves to ski!
I'm Shauntrey, I have been in child care for 13 years. I love working with children and families to help them have the best experience. I am a wife and a mom to 3 beautiful girls and when I am not working you can find me in the kitchen baking!
Ilse is a German-speaking, South African-American and a busy mother of 2 boys with 27 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. She has her degree in the field, was the 2016 Utah Early Childhood Teacher of the Year and 2017 National Teacher award winner. She loves to ski, hike and travel.
Cam has worked in childcare on and off for over 20 years and has 2 girls of her own. She is an amazing skier and loves fitness. Cam teaches Yoga in our center too!
